HELP FUND OUR NEXT FILM!

LET'S GET "THE HOLLYWOOD PARTY" STARTED!
"The Hollywood Party" is an outrageous, over-the-top comedy about an aspiring young actress working as a cater waiter at a lavish Hollywood party in Palm Springs who will do anything to impress its host, legendary film producer Jerry Silver, while also contending with an imperious catering boss, a rival aspiring thespian slash cater waiter, and a surprise guest who will prove to be both the life and death of the party!
Your contributions to the "Hollywood Party" fund will not only help me realize the dream of seeing this wildly fun story brought to life on film, it will also support the employment of over 40-50 talented cast and crew members from the L.A. and Palm Springs area, many of whom have been hit hard by the massive slowdown in production work these past few years due to Covid, the strikes, and seismic changes in our industry.
Once I have secured funding, I look forward to sharing updates with you about working with my team on everything from casting, location scouting, physical production, and post-production processes like editing, scoring, and visual effects.
Like my previous two shorts, "The Hollywood Party" will be shot in Palm Springs, California, with production currently scheduled for winter 2026. But of course, all of this depends on you, my generous donors! So PLEASE, contribute anything you can and I will forever be indebted to you for your faith and kindness and look forward to supporting you back in your endeavors!
MORE ABOUT "THE HOLLYWOOD PARTY"
"The Hollywood Party" is the third entry in an anthology of short films set in Palm Springs, California: a desert city steeped in natural beauty, stunning modern architecture, Native American history, and, of course, Hollywood lore!
The first film in the series, "The New Gardener," stars comedian Guy Branum ("Bros," "No Strings Attached") and Johnny Sibilly ("Hacks," "Pose") as a wealthy couple living in the hills of Palm Springs, whose relationship is challenged by the arrival of a very handsome, very criminal young man (Carson Polish, Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso" video) posing at their gardener. It has been selected to screen at numerous film festivals, including Hollywood Shorts, Out On Film: Atlanta's LGBTQ Film Festival, the Portland Film Festival, and Cinema Diverse: Palm Springs LGBTQ+ Film Festival, where it won "Director's Choice" and "Festival Favorite."
The second film in the "Palm Springs Stories" anthology, "The Tahquitz Myth," is currently finishing up post-production and tells the spooky, if still humorous, tale of a young college student who decides to investigate the local myth of Tahquitz, an evil spirit said to haunt the San Jacinto Mountains. It features costume design by Emmy Award winner Art Conn ("RuPaul's Drag Race"), music by Emmy Award nominee Billy Malpede ("Urban Legend," "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"), cinematography by Joe M. Han ("Rhythm is a Dancer," "Wanted Man") and sound mixing and re-recording by Sang Kim and Will Digby ("Karate Kid: Legends," "Five Nights at Freddy's").
